Celebrate Fifes and Drums’ 50th Anniversary with Drummer’s Call in Williamsburg, VA. Colonial Williamsburg’s Fifes and Drums mark their 50th anniversary with a year of special events, beginning with Drummer’s Call this weekend, May 16-18. The three-day muster will see fife and drum units from across North America, and Williamsburg alumni will reunite to march and play. The Colonial
Williamsburg Fifes and Drums – also known as the Field Music of the Virginia State Garrison Regiment – carries forward the tradition of military music. Since 1958, visitors in the Historic Area have enjoyed the musical performances and experienced the history of America’s Revolution.

LPGA comes to Williamsburg VA

This week the women come to Williamsburg for the 2008 LPGA Michelob Ultra Championship. It is a fun filled, exciting week of professional golf. The tournament lasts 4 days starting today and ending on Mother’s Day. It is held at the nationally renowned Kingsmill Golf Resort and Spa.
